I spent the last week at stef and Clayt's new house in Florence. It is very nice and I had a wonderful relaxing time. Summer and I spent most of the week playing school. She loves to take spelling tests. She is able to spell 16 words. River sas happy and let me hold , change and play with him. I got to see Clayton's office. We explored and ate out a few times. It was a great trip!
Today is another snow day for Abby and for me. Abby has had 4 in the past two weeks and I have had 3. It's still snowing and blowing and it's very cold. What a wierd winter, no snow all of Nov,Dec,and Jan, now we're making up for lost time.
Who knows when we will all be together again? It was nice to see everybody and spend time together. Brings to mind all the holidays that were spent in each others company. A generation of family changes over to a new generation. Children and grandchildren spread to the winds.
Ed and Abby went to the Valentine's Day Father-daughter dance. They have gone every year except one. My job is to buy the dress. She looked very beautiful and was excited about going. She had very fancy velvet shoes and a pretty black sweater. Clayton thought that she looked very beautiful.
Today was a snow day for both Abby and Grandma. I stayed in the warm house but Jessie took all the kids outside. Tayler came from next door and Timmy from behind our house. Later in the day they went out again and went sliding.
Queen Isabella of Spain visited our class to assign them the job of exploring the new world. She gave each child a gold coin (chocolate). and promised them a bag of gold apon the completion of their journey. Each child was then assign an explorer to study. It's been a great unit.
This is Clayton playing in the snow. He loves being outside. He can't understand why sometimes, like today Temp 5 degrees, he can't go out.
Last Weekend I went to Boston to help move steph, Clay, Summer, River, three cats, one dog and lots of plants to their new house in North Hampton, Ma. The house is a beautiful house on a culdisac (sp?) surrounded by woods.
